Big Chicken is officially opening its newest location in Massachusetts on January 9, 2026, bringing BIG Flavor, BIG Food and BIG Fun to the Wrentham Premium Outlets. The storefront is located at 1 Premium, Outlet Boulevard Unit TT55 in Suite 248 near accessible parking.
Following the successful debut of the Brand’s first-ever “Dunk Truck” pop-up at the outlets in 2025, local franchisee group and partners, Barry Lattuca, James O’Hanlon, Michael Scibelli and Martin LaChance of JBMM Hospitality, have served shoppers, tourists and commuters eager to try Big Chicken’s lineup of craveworthy menu items inspired by O’Neal’s childhood. Positioned between Providence and Boston, Wrentham is an ideal home for Big Chicken’s first storefront in the greater regional area as the group prepares for their permanent opening.
“Wrentham has been incredibly warm and welcoming since the very first day we rolled in with our Dunk Truck,” said Lattuca. “The community buzz has only grown as we’ve neared the opening of our permanent location at the Wrentham Premium Outlets, and it’s finally here! Guests can expect BIG Flavor and enjoy an even BIGGER lineup of favorites as they savor our bold crispy chicken sandwiches or try our new Shaq Snacks after a busy day of shopping.”
Guests visiting the new Big Chicken location can look forward to the Brand’s BIG Flavor, including its larger-than-life chicken sandwiches stacked with crispy chicken; one of eight signature sauces and toppings; fan-favorite Dunks made for tender-like dipping, hand-spun shakes and various bold sides inspired by Shaq’s favorite childhood flavors like Dirty Fries, mac n’ cheese, onion rings and creamy coleslaw. Guests can also experience the Brand’s latest menu innovation, Shaq Snacks: crispy chicken tenders on a bed of garlic toast with bold topping combinations such as spicy mayo with pickled jalapeños or Thousand Island dressing with melty cheese.
“Barry and his dedicated team have already built strong connections within the community through the Dunk Truck, and now they have the opportunity to create even more BIG smiles with this storefront,” said Josh Halpern, CEO of Big Chicken. “Having spent much of my early career in the Boston area, I know firsthand the BIG energy and potential of this market. Opening in Wrentham is a BIG moment – it puts Big Chicken right between all the action, introducing the Concept to even more New Englanders.”
Alongside the Wrentham opening, JBMM Hospitality is also laying the groundwork for Big Chicken’s next Massachusetts location in Beverly.
