Craveworthy Brands' concept, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen, is spicing up summer with new menu offerings now available throughout New York, Chicago and Washington D.C. The latest of several future additions planned, these items bring fresh, unique flavors to Taim’s already craveable lineup.
Founded in 2005 by a two-time Food Network champion in New York City’s West Village, Taim, meaning “tasty” in Hebrew, is known for its market-fresh produce, 18 different authentic herbs and spices and time-honored cooking techniques. With 14 locations throughout the U.S., Taim has earned national recognition and won multiple awards, including “Best Falafel” by The New Yorker, for its better-for-you, customizable and bold flavors.
From signature fan favorites like the O.G. Falafel Pita to house-made, eight-spice Chicken Shawarma, Taim offers a vibrant lineup of customizable pitas, plates and mezze. Designed for foodies of all kinds, Taim caters to a variety of dietary needs — including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free — making it a go-to for individuals, families and young professionals seeking balanced, flavorful meals without sacrificing nutrition or convenience.
This June, Taim is turning up the heat with a new protein option for signature offerings, an additional side, new sauce, additional toppings and new beverage options. Each brings more variety and fulfillment to the menu and builds on the brand’s mission to deliver vibrant flavors to guests searching for Mediterranean-inspired dishes that are as exciting as they are inclusive.
New to the menu:
- Beef and Lamb Shawarma Plate: Tender, slow-roasted halal beef and lamb seasoned with house-blended Kofta spice, served with rice, hummus, Israeli salad, pickled cabbage, feta and whipped garlic. Served with pita.
- Beef and Lamb Shawarma Pita: A hearty and craveable handheld with house-made Kofta-seasoned halal beef and lamb, hummus, Israeli salad, hand-cut fries and creamy tzatziki.
- Pita Chips:Crispy and golden Baharat-seasoned pita chips perfect for snacking and pairing with Taim’s signature dips like freshly ground hummus, red pepper babaganoush or tzatziki.
- Roasted Mushrooms: Earthy, caramelized mushrooms as a premium topping that add savory depth to any pita or plate.
- Cucumber & Tomato Salads: A refreshing Mediterranean topping staple made with market fresh-cut veggies.
- Spicy Tahini Sauce:A bold new drizzle made with Taim’s signature tahini and a kick of spice.
- Pomegranate Mint Lemonade: A vibrant blend that hits all the right notes – sweet, tart and minty cool in every sip.
- Dip Trio: Available until the end of June, a unique, limited-time lineup of house-made dips – carrot hummus, Mediterranean beet and spicy feta – served with crispy pita chips for the perfect shareable snack or side.
- Strawberry Lemonade: Guests can still order Taim’s refreshing seasonal sipper with a bright berry twist on the classic until the end of June.
“These new offerings stay true to what Taim is all about, using real ingredients and daring spices to celebrate flavors cherished across the Mediterranean,” said Jax Sperling, VP of Culinary and Supply Chain at Craveworthy Brands. “The halal Beef and Lamb Shawarma was developed with care and respect for the cultures it comes from, and everything we’re adding, using more unique spices like Baharat and Kofta, allows us to hit even more authentic flavor profiles for our guests.”
The menu additions come as Mediterranean cuisine continues to rise in popularity. According to IBISWorld market research reports, the U.S. Mediterranean segment surpassed $33 billion in revenue in 2024 with global forecasts projecting $74 billion by 2032. Taim’s culinary innovation reflects this consumer demand for fresh, globally inspired dishes that balance bold flavor with mindful ingredients.
These latest additions are just the beginning, as Taim further expands its menu later this summer with another seasonal lemonade feature and a new type of pita.
Sperling added, “Taim’s new menu offerings give guests more opportunities to genuinely connect with the food and make it their own.”
